Join the team!

Science is a collaborative process, requiring lots of hands and minds. We are always looking for motivated and creative undergraduate scientists to join the lab! Our research uses a variety of tools, including behavioral and online data collection, immersive and desktop virtual reality as well as functional and structural neuroimaging, alongside plasma biomarkers for measure Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers.

Graduate Students: Dr. Tran will be accepting PhD applications, for academic year 2026-2027 through the Psychology department. Preference will be given to students who have a strong programming experience (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python, C#) and/or a strong neuroimaging background. Please reach out to Dr. Tran directly.

Master’s Students: Master’s students at Georgia Tech with a computational background in human-computer interface, virtual reality, augmented virtual reality, app development or a strong interest in aging or neuroimaging should reach out.

Undergraduate Research Assistants: Undergraduate students should be committed to a minimum of 3 semesters in the lab. Tracks for undergraduate students are:

Neuropsychological Internship: Training in clinical neuropsychological testing for assessment and evaluation of cognitive performance in young adults and older adults. This track involves participant recruitment, learning how to perform and evaluate neuropsychological examinations to assess cognitive performance. Best for pre-meds and students interested in aging and clinical psychology.

Experimental data collection and neuroimaging: Training in experimental development, data collection and data analysis. This track involves gaining expertise in memory research with behavioral and immersive virtual reality data collection and neuroimaging data collection. Students with a strong computational background may assist in experimental development, app development and data analysis.
